Devenia Ltd. is a British company assisting and advising small and large businesses, politicians and governments around the globe regarding marketing and internet positioning with the use of the tools at our disposal developed in-house and from other companies.
Our registered office is in London, but we run the company without any physical offices. We all work from home, and our workplaces spans three continents (so far).
Company history & philosophy
When our founder and CEO started Devenia in February 2007, he worked from a little corner in the kitchen at home with a PC and a phone line on a terrible ADSL connection – all while having two other jobs. He was selling electricity in a telemarketing company in Norway at daytime while distributing local newspapers at night. The bandwidth in his “office” was so narrow that it was not possible to both browse a website and talk on the phone at the same time. In other words, Devenia started from very humble conditions.
We stay the same today.
We don’t spend money on fancy offices or any other show-off items like luxury cars or Rolex watches. In fact, we discourage fancy and flashy stuff. No company cars or gold credit cards.
We stay humble and careful in everything we do. And we have all learned that it’s easy to make promises, but not always as easy to follow through. This is why we prefer to under-promise, and over-deliver instead of the opposite.
Word of mouth
The results we achieve for our clients does the talking for us, so we have never had any sales staff in the company. We have never made a single PowerPoint presentation to pitch possible clients with. New clients come to us after being referred from other clients most of the time. Heck, we don’t even have proper business cards!
Ah, yes. None of us have ever attended any conferences or made any speeches.
Our philosophy comes down to the following sentence:
Do not lie. Do not gamble with your clients money
When you entrust your marketing to us, you have to know that you can trust that we will not burn your money on useless, over hyped stuff. What we recommend has to work. ASAP and with minimal costs.
We spend a lot of time on research, testing techniques and new tactics to stay on top of the competition. This is the main reason for our ability to implement quick and safe tactics – without using your money to figure out if something is worth the money and efforts or not.
We sign long-term contracts only with clients who specifically wish it. This gives you freedom of choice, and keeps us on our toes. We have to actually deliver results every month to have a basis to bill you.
