If you are trying to figure out new and effective methods for marketing your plastic manufacturing company, take some time to think about search engine optimization (SEO). You might even have already heard about this science and have at least some idea of what it’s all about. But, then again, you might not.
In either event, when you learn more about something new, then you can make a decision whether or not it’s right for you. So, let’s get right into it so you can discover what SEO is all about.
SEO (aka “Internet Marketing”) is all About Growing Your Profits!
…but there’s a set of actions to follow that maximize your chances of success, just like anything else. For example, with your current marketing strategy, you probably conducted some research, perhaps constructed a customer persona document, then you tried to reel in the clients. You did some testing to see what works and what doesn’t, and now you have a method that works better than before.
Well, search engine optimization works exactly the same. It’s just that it revolves around helping Google understand what your site is about and what keywords you should be ranked for.
There are about as many strategies for SEO as there are companies performing the service (thousands, perhaps millions). But, most strategies contain a few basic elements:
- Keyword research
- On page SEO (putting keywords strategically in your site’s writing)
- Off page SEO (typically back link building)
- Ongoing testing
- Adjustments as needed for any Google updates encountered
These are the most basic elements of SEO that get people to start coming to your website. Once you have people coming in, then you can start working on generating additional profits.
How Much do you Have to Pay for SEO?
Search engine optimization has a wide range of costs and service quality. You can pay as little as $1 per hour if you hire someone from India (but expect poor quality or someone to run away with your money) to as much as $5000 per hour for the top industry experts. With such a broad range, how do you choose who to work with?
If you’ve ever worked with contractors before, then finding the right search engine optimization company to work with won’t be challenging. Basically, if you trust the company can help you produce a net profit after you have paid all of your fees, then you’ve found a great company to work with!
Many companies charge by the keyword when charging for services. Somewhere between $75 – $150 per keyword is fairly common. But, if you find someone who charges more but helps you generate more profits, then don’t feel like you’ve been ripped off.
So, there you have it – now you know what SEO can do for you and how to find a great internet marketing company!
